The 36th Hassan II Golf Trophy  will take place from the 5^th to the 9^th November 2008 at the Dar Es Salam Royal Golf Club (Red Course) – Rabat - Morocco

Review of the 35th Hassan II Golf Trophy 2007:

Since its inauguration in 1971, the Hassan II Golf Trophy has attracted some of the finest players in the game and has helped launch the careers of the likes of Payne Stewart, Vijay Singh and David Toms.

PADRAIG HARRINGTON (Ireland) won the 35thHassan II Golf Trophy that took place from October 24th to 28th 2007, on the red course of Royal Golf Dar Es-Salam, with three-stroke lead over Darren Clarke.

The Lalla Meryem Cyp will take place alongside the Hassan II Golf Trophy from the 5^th to 9^th November 2008 at the Dar Es Salam Royal Golf Club (Blue Course) – Rabat - Morocco

2007 Review: Participants: 12 Pros & 36 Amateurs (LADIES) - Prize Money: $ 120.000,00
Gwladys Nocera (France) won the Lalla Meryem Cup, she managed a scorecard of 71 (-2), carrying her total score to 209 strokes (-10).
The second place was attributed to the Spanish Paula Marti Zambrano who succeeded a total of 216 strokes (-3). The Swedish Johanna Westerberg, earned her third place, with a score of 71 strokes and a total score of 217 (-2)

FRIENDSHIP CUP: The FRIENDSHIP CUP will run alongside the Hassan II Golf Trophy and Lalla Meryem Cup – Journalists, celebrities and business people take part in this unique event.

European Challenge Tour

Review of the 2008 Moroccan Classic ( 1- 4 May 2008 at El Jadida Royal Golf Club): Michael Hoey’s one-shot victory at the Banque Populaire Morroccan Classic on the European Challenge Tour made it a double for Ireland after Peter Lawrie’s win at the Open de España earlier in the day.

Hoey held his nerve and survived a late charge from overnight leader Greig Hutcheon of Scotland to secure a third Challenge Tour title. The man from Belfast, who looked to be cruising to victory until he dropped shots on the 14th and 16th holes at El Jadida Golf Resort, birdied the 17th for a round of 68 and a 12 under par aggregate score to finish one clear of Hutcheon and France’s Julien Quesne.
